History

The Los Angeles Department of Aging (LADOA) is one of 33 Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) in California.

AAA were established through the Older Americans Act in 1963 to provide programs and services for seniors and caregivers to maximize their quality of life.

LADOA was established in 1973.

Caregivers LADOA provides support groups for caregivers throughout the City of Los Angeles. These support groups meet weekly or on-line.
